Universal Life Insurance Offerings
Policies under these plans provide cash and loan value and some may be purchased for the employee's spouse and dependent children. The following are authorized vendors that offer various insurance programs to employees. These plans may be used to supplement other insurance policies. The employee pays the full premium cost for these programs, which varies with the amount of coverage, and/or the age of the insured.
GABOR:
The Gabor Agency offers various insurance programs which include Universal Life as well as a Long-Term Care / Life Insurance combination option.
- Term Life Insurance: Term life insurance protects a specified period. Common-term policy durations range from 10 – 30 years. The premiums for this type of coverage are level, meaning they do not increase for the duration of the specified term. A common feature of a term policy is a conversion option. This privilege allows the policy owner to “convert” the policy to a permanent contract at some point in the future, without evidence of insurability.
- Guaranteed Universal Life Insurance: Guaranteed universal life Insurance protects a person’s whole life, so long as premiums are paid. This type of policy is best suited for someone interested in inexpensive, permanent coverage.
- Whole Life Insurance: Whole life insurance also protects a person’s whole life. However, with whole life insurance, there are some additional features and benefits. Some of these benefits include guaranteed cash value accumulation, paid-up insurance options, and the possibility to earn dividends*. A whole life policy owner can enjoy the cash value and dividends* while they are living. Whether it be for retirement, college, or anything else.
