Effective January 1, 2020, Standard Insurance Company (The Standard) will be the new life insurance provider, replacing UNUM, for the following group coverage:
COLLEGE SPONSORED BASIC TERM LIFE AND ACCIDENTAL DEATH AND DISMEMBERMENT
The College of Central Florida enrolls each full-time employee in a $20,000 Term Life Insurance Plan through The Standard Life Insurance for which the college pays 100%. Employees are automatically enrolled at the time of hire and must provide at least one beneficiary.
SUPPLEMENTAL TERM LIFE INSURANCE AND ACCIDENTAL DEATH AND DISMEMBERMENT
- Employee Only Supplemental Life: The College of Central Florida offers employee-only supplemental term life insurance through The Standard at an additional cost to the employee. This may be purchased in increments of 1, 2, or 3 times your annual salary rounded to the next $1,000.
- Dependent Supplemental Life for Spouse and Children – NEW Benefit effective January 2020
Choice 1: $20,000 Spouse/$10,000 Child(ren). $3.16 per member / per month.
